Fertile breeding waters for Florida Strain Large Mouth Bass have been created by extensive dam building for agricultural use. The most famous of the lakes is Presta Hidalgo, only a few miles away from your accommodations at Villa del Pescador. Even closer is Lake Domingues which is in full production and has delivered the largest bass over the past seasons. Lake Huites was completed in the spring of 1995 and stocked for our future fishing. Many bass caught range in the 2 to 5 pound class with fish in excess of ten pounds caught regularly. Fishing for Snook and other salt water species on the Estuaries and Gulf of California can also be arranged. You can expect a true ìMexico Fishing experienceî at the lakes surrounding El Fuerte.

Dove and duck hunters are also attracted during the fall and
winter months to El Fuerte. There is extensive marsh land along much of the
area's coastline, offering a challenge to any hunter. Villa del Pescador offers
a relaxing, uncluttered, safe, sanitary and secure location for the hunting
experience of a lifetime.
El Fuerte lies on a fertile coastal plain that is rich with agriculture, providing an abundant supply of food for the Whitewing Dove. The coastal marshes are the winter home for a variety of ducks and other aquatic birds. Unlike northern hunting areas, there is little pressure, and bird hunting in Mexico's El Fuerte foothills is known to be the best on the continent. Hunting locations are within minutes drive from the Villas Del Pescador.
